Shakedown Street
Shakedown Street
One of the longest running Grateful Dead tribute bands in the world, Shakedown Street, makes its home in and around the Rocky Mountain region of North America. Spawned from jam sessions at the Ancient Mariner bar in Manitou Springs, Colorado in 1987, Shakedown Street quickly grew in popularity, and garnered a legion of loyal fans who refer to themselves as "Shakeheads". In a few short years, throngs of "Shakeheads" could be found on the highways and byways of the Rocky Mountains, making their way to another Shakedown Street show.

In the live music venues of the Rocky Mountains, there are only a few bands that are able to consistantly draw large audiences. Shakedown Street accomplishes this year after year by embodying the Grateful Dead ethos of improvisation and discovery, while maintaining an intimacy and open repoire with its audience. A whole new generation of "Shakeheads" has discovered the positive and collaborative energy found at a Shakedown Street concert. Longtime fans are thrilled to find the band sounding hotter than ever, and having the time of their lives!

Throughout the years, Shakedown Street has had the privilege of sharing the stage with many iconic musicians. Some of these include former Grateful Dead members Vince Welnick and Tom Constanten, as well as Melvin Seals of the Jerry Garcia Band. Others include Los Lobos' David Hidalgo, The JGB Band, Hot Tuna, New Riders Of The Purple Sage, Merl Saunders, Jerry Jeff Walker, Vince Herman of Leftover Salmon, and many others.

With a working repertoire of over two hundred songs, Shakedown Street is able to perform multi night runs without repetition, drawing equally from early and modern Grateful Dead songs, and weave together unique and unforgettable performances. Believing that it is good to give back to the planet, Shakedown Street performs charity and benefit engagements on an ongoing basis to help their local and global communities.

Cycles
Cycles
The Denver-based power trio, Cycles, comprised of Patrick Harvey (guitar), Michael Wood (drums), and Tucker McClung (bass/vocals) are on a musical mission to melt your mind. Self-described as psychedelic rock fusion, Cycles effortlessly blends rock, jazz, hip-hop, soul, and much more creating a versatile soundscape that makes each live show different than the last. Striving for variety in each set, Cycles carefully construct a live show designed to thrill. Each member brings a special set of skills and influences to the table.

Living in the same house together and practicing hours upon hours each day has created a profound chemistry between the band members that truly shines through in the live setting. Tucker McClung is a powerful commander of the bass who never shies away from applying the melodic nature of the instrument all the while leading the show with powerful vocals. Michael Wood, with his tight and jazzy drum beats, works tirelessly to keep the band on track through intricate tempo changes and wide-open space. Patrick Harvey’s dominating guitar shred is what completes the band’s sound and often drives them to take the jams into outer space.

The songs are written by all members of the band which adds yet another element of diversity to the end product. With humorous, relatable, and illustrative lyrics, Cycles reaches out and touches their audience in a way that produces a feeling of harmony and community. Throughout the last year, Cycles has picked up some serious steam around Colorado. Every show Cycles plays garners new fans. In January of 2016, the band released their first EP, Loads Of Fun which showcases their one-of-a-kind sound.
Tenth Mountain Division
Tenth Mountain Division
Tenth Mountain Division revives the soul, spirit and eclectic intersection of influences that birthed rock’n’roll, afresh for the modern ear. Just a fancy way of saying that we’re bringing back classic rock, because that’s what we love! Originating from Boulder, CO, founders Winston Heuga (Mandolin) and MJ Ouimette (Electric/Acoustic Guitar) originally sought to create an acoustic bluegrass outfit. After a few years dedicated to playing bluegrass, the duo transitioned to an electrified, rock’n’roll sound. Here they found their stride when Ouimette and Heuga collaborated with bassist Connor Dunn, drummer Tyler Gwynn and the ever-talented keyboard player Campbell Thomas. Together the quintet creates a diverse soundscape that combines soaring electric guitar leads and melodic keyboards while retaining its roots in bluegrass with Heuga’s incomparable mandolin style. The rhythmic interplay of Dunn’s driving bass fused with Gwynn’s incendiary drumming round out the unique sounding band that is truly a style of its own; what the band refers to as 'Ski Rock". Tenth Mountain Division has evolved greatly since its inception but retains its roots in the American musical styles of rock, jazz, improvisation, bluegrass and the crossroads between them all. The band has performed throughout Colorado from Boulder’s Fox Theatre, the Aggie Theatre, Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom, Pardee Palooza Festival at State Bridge Amphitheatre, in addition to venues across the country when they embarked on their first national tour summer of 2016. TMD’s performance at the Fox Theater’s installment of the Summer Camp: On The Road competition earned the band a slot at the 2016 Summer Camp Music Festival. Previously they’ve placed 2nd in CU’s 2015 Battle of the Bands as well as winning fan favorite in that competition. Recently, the band released their first album ‘Cracks In The Sky’ in March of 2016, available now on all platforms!
Mikey Thunder
Mikey Thunder
Mikey Thunder likes to party. But more than that, Mikey Thunder just so happens to be the party. Thunder spins a genre-blending, bass-driven partyrock, fusing banging electronic beats with funk, hip-hop, soul, jazz, blues, swing, reggae and anything else the party may call for on the fly. With 19 years in the game, he's mastered the art of improvisation with an uncanny ability to work with and rework the vibe of the party with precision. If you're a true connoisseur of the Colorado music scene, you've seen Mikey share the stage with any number of your favorite artists- no matter the genre.

It all began for Mikey at the age of 15 when he discovered DJing in Springfield , Mass. Thru friends older brother's record collections and the Hiphop scene in the city. From there he moved up to Burlington Vt. and immersed himself in the diverse musical culture. In the fall of 1999, he relocated to the mountains of Jackson Hole where he was soon kidnapped by Michael Franti and Spearhead for the Stay Human Tour. After opening for Spearhead in Jackson Hole, Thunder was handpicked by Michael Franti to open the rest of the tour, where he mixed beats into their sets, during set break, and scratched with their beatboxer, Radioactive.

After the Spearhead tour Mikey relocated to Boulder and continued to pursue his musical career. At that time Thunder also was an Atari playing stuntman/ DJ in the band Sonar. The band shared the stage with the Wailers at the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, the String Cheese Incident, and played Hightimes Magazine's SXSW party, and the Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam. In the fall of 2009 Mikey joined the Pretty Lights crew, opened for over 30 shows on their tours and performed cuts on the Making Up a Changing Mind EP, released in 2010. He also has played the sold out Red Rocks Amphitheater runs with PL in 2012/13/14.

Since that time, he has made his presence known in every single facet of the Colorado music industry. Over the years he has shared the stage with an extremely diverse range of musicians, including (but certainly not limited to): Bassnectar, The Glitch Mob, The Disco Biscuits, Boombox, Soul Live, Lettuce, The Motet, Michal Menert, Nightmares on Wax, Mr. Scruff, DJ Krush, Bonobo, Z Trip, DJ Qbert, Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Jurassic 5, Slick Rick, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface killa, Red Man, Juicy J, and Big Boi of Outkast. Additionally, he has been prominently featured on such festivals as Shambhala, Sonic Bloom, Snowball, Global Dance Festival, and many others.

Mikey Thunder's true talent lies in his versatility. Every Thunder performance presents something familiar in an entirely unfamiliar way, as well as something unfamiliar presented in a way that is immediately recognizable as Thunder.
