Orgone
Orgone
Orgone (Orgōne). Noun. 1. A universal life force. 2. A cosmic unit of energy. 3. The creative force in nature.

Now and always, Orgone delivers dirty, organic, California soul with heart; music that grabs you by the collar, pulls you to your feel and shoves you wantingly onto the dance floor. It all started with two kids from the San Fernando Valley, whose shared affinity for gritty soul records of the
60s and 70s collided with the colorful music cultures brewing in Los Angeles during the late 90s. That friendship sparked a movement, and Orgone has been delivering nothing but gold to the funk faithful ever since.

“We intend our music to have an inhibitioncanceling effect,” founding guitarist Sergio Rios explains. “It speaks to those who may have wallflower tendencies encouraging everyone to own the freakiness that lives inside them, and enjoy the spotlight for a little while. Sometimes it takes a nudge to let go and get on the dance floor. And sometimes it takes a big 'ol push... a love shove, if you will. And we're well versed in those."

Fearless vocalist Adryon de León elevates the octet’s soulfulness to intoxicating new levels on Orgone's latest studio album, Beyond The Sun. Dubbed "stank face inducing glory" by Okayplayer, the record is a lightning rod of inspiration for a new generation of funk music lovers. Following the standalone release of “Do What You Came To Do”, Orgone plans to drip steamy new singles onebyone into the world throughout the summer of 2016.
The Pamlico Sound
The Pamlico Sound
The Pamlico Sound play original, high-energy big band funk in an updated version of the classic styles of greats like Sly and the Family Stone and Parliament Funkadelic. The interweaving lead vocals of Sarah Sariah (Sarah Robertson) and the Reverend EverReady (Will Baumgartner) are laid over a hard-grooving rhythm section and ornamented by the notorious Soul Shouters Horns (Baumgartner, Maus Nomdeguerre, Alex Cazet, and a rotating cast of trumpeters and trombonists). With lyrics reminiscent of the intelligence, humor and social consciousness of their legendary influences and a relentlessly upbeat drive to their musical arrangements, their songs lift listeners' spirits into a rarefied atmosphere full of Funk'n Fun.

Based in Boulder Colorado, TPS have been driving fans onto the dance floor and happily out of their minds for a half-decade, and show no intention of slowing down. In late 2016, the band released the album Jive Church, getting airplay on stations such as KGNU and The Colorado Sound and available through all major online outlets including iTunes, SoundCloud, and Spotify. Exciting videos can be found on their YouTube channel. In the past year, TPS shared shows with top local and national/international acts, won the Bolder Boulder Battle of the Bands, and performed live on the radio at KGNU, KBCO and Radio 1190. Since the beginning they've received enthusiastic press from The Marquee, Westword, Colorado Daily, Colorado Music Buzz, BolderBeat, and more.

TPS have played many times at Boulder's Fox Theatre and top-rated Denver venues like Cervantes and Ophelia's, along with the Boulder Theater, the Bluebird and Oriental theaters, the Spread the Word Festival, and Upslope Getdown. They've been a notorious party band as well, playing huge parties all over Colorado.

TPS have shared shows with: March Fourth!; Orgone; Seun Kuti & Egypt 80; The ZAPP Band; Roosevelt Collier; Kung Fu; Sunsquabi; Euforquestra; Analog Son; The Magic Beans; Whitewater Ramble; Rowdy Shadehouse; Atomga; The Other Black; Envy Alo; and many more.

Marquee Magazine: "TPS bring the funk wherever they perform. Experiencing their unavoidable dance scene firsthand is a must."

Colorado Music Buzz: "The audience is in an engorged feeding frenzy." And as the Reverend EverReady says in their audience-interactive "Jive Church" theatrical experience, "The Funk Will Set You Free!"
