Break Science
Break Science
Possibly connected as brothers in a past life, Adam Deitch (Lettuce, John Scofield, Wyclef Jean) and Borahm Lee (Kanye West, Pretty Lights, Lee 'Scratch' Perry) have made Break Science a staple act on the electronic soul scene. Over the course of the group’s decade-long career, Break Science has continued to evolve, fusing golden-era hip-hop beats into their signature take on electronic music.

On ‘Grid of Souls’, Break Science's fourth studio album, the duo continues to sculpt their distinctive sound. Sonically, the album—which features a number of guest vocalists and collaborators, including Karl Denson, Lettuce, Prob Cause, Raquel Rodriguez, and more—contains a dynamic and danceable collection of songs. However, on a deeper level, ‘Grid of Souls’ functions as a thoughtful rumination on the mysteries of the universe, which is framed by a theory on the interconnectivity of collective consciousness from which the album draws its name.

Whether fans are drawn to the deeper meanings underlying the album or they just want to dance, ‘Grid of Souls’ offers a sanctuary to those who seek to transcend the typical parameters of electronic music.
Probcause
Probcause
In the ever-changing world of hip-hop, things rarely stay the same for a long period of time. The sound of Chicago seems to be on the forefront in recent years with talent like Chance The Rapper, Saba, Vic Mensa, ... and of course, ProbCause. Keeping up a prolific output over the years, he's seen his share of trends get born and quickly disappear. But throughout all of them he's been like a sub-genre chameleon; transitioning, evolving his production yet maintaining his core flow. The sound ProbCause has become known for travels well beyond the boundaries of hip-hop -- he can casually jump from electronic to funk to R&B, then back to classic boom-bap gritty rap, and still retain that unique ability to make you reminisce with his captivating storytelling.

This past year, Prob has worked with some of the most elite players in the the world of electronic music and hip-hop. Appearing on both GRiZ and Gramatik's albums, as well as collaborations with Big Gigantic, Louis the Child, The Floozies, Manic Focus, Break Science and more! ProbCause's percussive delivery flows harmoniously from one to another, proving once again he is one of the most versatile emcees in the game.
