Lunar Fire
Lunar Fire
Lunar Fire Tribal Cirque features Luminescent Dance Theatre to Live Electronic World Music.

Let go of all familiarity and climb into a world of fantasy, alchemy, dreams & archetypes with LUNAR FIRE. The visuals mesmerize. The music hypnotizes. Lunar Fire storytellers weave electronic based world music with theatrical aerial and fire dance to create New Myths for Modern Tribes.

Lunar Fire's unique Tribal Cirque illuminates the night with Luminescent Dance Theatre and Live Electronic World Music. Lunar Fire shows feature a variety of actors, aerialists, acrobats, fire spinners, interactive video performances, along with urban & ethnic world dance including Temple, Belly, Latin Salsa, Brazilian Zouk, Hip Hop and Traditional African. New album "Ancient Guides" blends electronic dance music with acoustic world instrumentation and catchy vocals. Lunar Fire live music keeps audiences dancing to electronic ballads, Latin glitch hop, acoustic instrumentals, male vocalists chanting, tribal drummers, Native flutes and female vocalists rapping in a unique mix of spanish and english.

Lunar Fire formed in 2002 beside the volcanoes of Lake Atitlan in the Mayan heartland of Guatemala, when legendary rhythm section & dance troupe of tribal rock band Kan’Nal expanded mythic storylines into fully choreographed dance theatre. Growing into a festival favorite with a dedicated following, Lunar Fire tours internationally with a home base in Colorado.

LUNAR FIRE COLLECTIVE co-creations involve a multimedia trans-cultural musical spectacle whose aim is to inspire, connect and empower people to create positive change in the world. With a dynamic blend of the arts, Lunar Fire enacts the tales of the ancestors bridging the past and present while foretelling a future in which humankind reaches its fullest potential. In 2012, Many Lunar Fire Collective events dedicate a portion of the proceeds to benefit arts, arts education and sustainability projects by women and indigenous people across the globe.

Totem is Phoenix Clay Michael, born and raised in Texas and currently based out of Boulder, Colorado. Phoenix's journey into the realms of Intelligent Sound Design began early in life, with great influence from his mother, who sang Lead Soprano in the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. She exposed Clay to the intricacies of harmony, thus encouraging a range of vocal development that has stayed with him through the years. When in high school, Phoenix began teaching himself guitar, displaying a natural ability to compose as well as a strong grasp on rhythm and confidence as a performer.

While in college on a baseball scholarship, Phoenix studied sound engineering and his interest in digital sound design began to expand. As the years progressed, it became clear to him that the musical route would prove to be more fulfilling and engaging than the proposed baseball career, and he shifted gears to make more space to elaborate on his expression in these ways.

During this time, Phoenix began playing eastern-style instrumentation (tabla, doumbek, darbuki, didgeridoo, ric, native flute etc), along with diving deeper into keyboards, guitar, and vocal technique.

Phoenix explores the digital domain with rich melodies, psychedelic synths, and exotic instrumentation. Totem culminates his musical passions into a modern interpretation of ancient instruments. His sampling style is deep and visceral, as he blends thick bass and instrumentation with live production. His influences range from native-world inspired rhythms to the sweeping emotive vocal presence of Chris Cornell and Maynard James Keenan.

With Totem's all-original soundscapes, the listener is invited upon a journey of dance, prayer, and melodic intrigue. Phoenix is skilled in a number of instruments including guitar, native flute, hand percussion, and keyboard. All of these things combine with digital audio manipulation, resulting in highly engaging set that is sure to captivate both the dancing spirit and the theoretical intellect of music - all combined together with deep intentional prayer and presence.
MIRAJA is a Colorado-based electronic music DJ & Producer renowned for creating energetic soundscapes layered with broken-beat rhythms, emotive melodies and hypnotic urban bass.

MIRAJA often performs with special guest vocalists and musicians. He is also 1/2 of bass-music group Future Simple Project. MIRAJA plays at events all around North America including many festivals such as Sonic Bloom, Symbiosis, Arise Music Festival, Liberate, Photosynthesis, and the Envision Festival in Costa Rica.
