Now and always, Orgone delivers dirty, organic, California soul with heart; music that grabs you by the collar, pulls you to your feel and shoves you wantingly onto the dance floor. It all started with two kids from the San Fernando Valley, whose shared affinity for gritty soul records of the
60s and 70s collided with the colorful music cultures brewing in Los Angeles during the late 90s. That friendship sparked a movement, and Orgone has been delivering nothing but gold to the funk faithful ever since.
“We intend our music to have an inhibitioncanceling effect,” founding guitarist Sergio Rios explains. “It speaks to those who may have wallflower tendencies encouraging everyone to own the freakiness that lives inside them, and enjoy the spotlight for a little while. Sometimes it takes a nudge to let go and get on the dance floor. And sometimes it takes a big 'ol push... a love shove, if you will. And we're well versed in those."
Fearless vocalist Adryon de León elevates the octet’s soulfulness to intoxicating new levels on Orgone's latest studio album, Beyond The Sun. Dubbed "stank face inducing glory" by Okayplayer, the record is a lightning rod of inspiration for a new generation of funk music lovers. Following the standalone release of “Do What You Came To Do”, Orgone plans to drip steamy new singles onebyone into the world throughout the summer of 2016.
What began as a full sounding trio (Aaron Pettine on organ and synth bass, Kevin Hinder on guitar, and Nate Etter on drums), has since grown to a full 6-piece band. The additions of Kevin Supina on Saxophone, Callie Morrocco on vocals, and Karl Summers on bass guitar, have Envy Alo ready to ship it to a whole new level.
With a busy schedule of shows and a growing funkhead fanbase, 2018 is shaping up to be Envy Alo's biggest year yet!
