Augustus
Augustus
"Many may try to harken back to the heyday of rock and roll, but few pull it off as authentically as Augustus. " - Sun News, 9/17. From their humble acoustic beginnings in 2014, to their current status as a full time touring indie rock band, the 4pc Boulder based Augustus continues to push the boundaries while delivering honest, original songs.

Since turning heads at SXSW 2017, the band has crisscrossed the country multiple times playing both coasts and Canada. The genre-bending indie rockers have released a steady stream of critically acclaimed music, licensed songs to MTV, E!, and the Discovery Channel, and dropped their much anticipated 4th studio record ‘Idle’ Fall 2018.

Their last time through Seattle, Northwest Music Scene said “Their sound has evolved with new sophisticated arrangements and unpredictable power since their start in 2014.” - 7/18. And Cosmic Clash called their latest single “mesmerizing.” 10/18

The band kicked off 2019 with a West Coast tour, a new live single, and a sold out performance in Denver supporting Futurebirds. With more national tours scheduled for the year and new music to be released, Augustus shows no signs of slowing down.
Foxfeather
Foxfeather
Foxfeather is a sultry alt-americana band founded in Boulder, CO in 2013. Beginning with a lyrical base, and bolstered by strong blues-rock instrumentals, Foxfeather’s unique sound captivates their audience. The band consists of Carly Ricks Smith (lead vocals), Laura Paige Stratton (acoustic/electric guitars, keys, vocals), and is often supported by various instrumentalists for a full rock sound. Foxfeather is a local staple in the Colorado Front Range, and also tours nationally. The band released their EP, Foul Moon, in 2014. In response to this release The Marquee stated that “the group is overflowing with talent” and “Carly Ricks Smith has a spectacular voice which lies somewhere between the folky soprano of a young Joni Mitchell and the jazz-heavy range of Lake Street Dive’s Rachel Price. It’s powerful as well as delicate.” Andy Eppler of The Prairie Scholars said “it’s sexy. It’s original. These women have crafted something very special and instantly likeable on this album.” The band released their first full length, self titled album in October of 2016, which Rooster magazine described as "time warping...it's an emotional ride into the forest of folk with low-hanging country branches slapping you in the face without apology... its got a good thing going" (Rooster Magazine).

Brought together by our shared love of music and szechuan dipping sauce, the hughmans of Hugh Manatee started playing as one in early 2017 and immediately became an inseparable jamfam. Famous Men
Famous Men
Famous Men is a roots/folk/rock band from Boulder, CO. The band focuses on the folk tradition of songwriting paired with the live performance and energy of rock and roll.

The trio features the slide guitar and vocals of Hunter Stone and a rhythm section of singers; Joe Plante (Bass) and Joshua Thomas (Drums). The three musicians met in 2017 and started honing their live performances through busking on the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder. Playing on the street, the group learned how to use high energy sets, danceable grooves and three-part harmonies to stop people in their tracks.

Famous Men takes its name from a non-fiction literary work by James Agee called "Let Us Now Praise Famous Men." In this book, Agee chronicles the stories of poor white southern tenement farmers during The Great Depression, telling the story of people who would be forgotten by time. The idea of the title is all people are famous in their own right and we impress the generations around us.

Famous Men's debut record features performances by notable guests including Bridget Law (Fiddle; formerly of Elephant Revival), Jeb Bows (Fiddle; Gasoline Lollipops, Gregory Alan Isakov) and Chris Plante (Keys; The Brew). The release, slated for spring 2018, sounds like early Stones going on a bender with The Wood Brothers, The Black Keys and Ryan Adams.
